Hi Everyone, Well, Term 1 went by in a flash, didn’t it? I don’t think I had a chance to even pause for breath this term, an experience I’m sure many of you can relate to.

Our AGM is rapidly approaching and I encourage you all to attend. Have you thought about nominating for a position on the committee? We always need new people to help out and inject some fresh thinking into our planning. Even if you aren’t able to commit to regular committee meetings, maybe you’d like to help out in a particular area.

Do you have some thoughts about how to improve Primary or Secondary PD? Maybe you’d like to support our work in promotions and marketing or membership and services. Perhaps you’re interested in supporting the organisation of Cross Section. If so, give the MAWA office a call and put your name down.

MAWA can only be as good as the people who volunteer their time to support its activities so we need your support to enable us to continue to offer the high level of service and support that you’ve come to expect.

Ask not what your Association can do for you, but what you can do for your Association! Sorry – I got a little carried away there, but at the very least it would be terrific to see some new faces at the AGM and it’s always an enjoyable evening, particularly the networking over drinks and snacks at the end!

AGM - First day term 2

7:00pm Tuesday 29th April
Wine and cheese
At the MAWA office, 12 Cobbler Place, Mirrabooka

The AGM is on Tuesday, 29 April 2008 starting at 7pm with our usual Life Members function before it at 6pm.

Have a fantastic well-deserved holiday. I hope to see you all early next term at the MAWA offi ce for the AGM.

Cheers

Michelle Östberg,
President
