Problem Solving Sites
- Math DEN Home Page : this site is based in Canada and is an excellent mathematics site. Students have the opportunity to work through a series of exercises graded from years 7 through to 12. All questions are multiple choice and once each students has completed a set they are submitted for marking. As each student is individually registered their reults are kept on a database so they can monitor theior own progress.
- MathMagic! : a group problem solving competition based at Swarthmore College, El Paso Texas. Students solve problems in conjection with another team elsewhere in the world ( mainly US teams). All correspondence is by Email. Once both teams have agreed on a solution it is submitted for marking. Students havea chance to problem solve as well as have interaction with other students around the world.
- The Geometry Forum Problem of the Week. : the problem of the week (POW) is regular feature of the Geometry Forum, and provides students with the opportunity to answer questions and receive feedback and recognition from the Forum Staff.
- The Geometry Forum Problem of the Month. : the problem of the month (POM) is another regular feature of the Geometry Forum.
- Internet Center for Mathematics Problems : a list of all sources of mathematics problems on the internet and related information.
- Brain Teasers Contest : a weekly posting of Brain Teasers for years 3 through to 8. Solutions and hints are given along with an archive of all previous solutions.
- Math Forum Internet Collection : math problems and puzzles.
