Categories of Membership
Membership is available to anyone with an interest in Mathematics or Mathematics Education. The membership fee covers the period 1st January to 31st December.
In an effort to curb waste paper MAWA is offering all Members the opportunity to receive their member mail outs electronically. Your journals will still be posted to you but all other correspondence will be forwarded to your nominated email address. Please ensure that your email account is able to receive large files before selecting this membership.

Institutional Members
Membership material sent to a nominated person. This person is then responsible for informing teachers about upcoming events and activities.
| Primary | Primary Schools |
| Secondary | Schools with Secondary students and organisations such as libraries, colleges and universities etc |
| Combined | Schools (including District High Schools) which have Primary and Secondary learning areas on the same campus |
Individual Membership
| Full | Individuals with an interest in Mathematics or Mathematics Education |
| Family | Two people of the same family living at the same address (Only one copy of each mail out and one journal received) |
| 1st Year Out | Individuals who are in their first year of teaching |
| Retired | Individuals who have retired from the workforce |
| Student | Individuals currently involved in full-time tertiary study (All membership information is received electronically. There are no journal entitlements for Student Members) |
| Friends | Individuals who are members of another Learning Area teaching Association in Western Australia |
| Reciprocal | Individuals or Institutions who are members of another AAMT Affiliated Mathematical Association |
