Have Sum Fun Competition - Upper Secondary (Years 11-12) 2010

The Have Sum Fun Upper Secondary Mathematics Competition uses a 'quiz night' format where teams of six students have to solve four rounds of eight problems.

Date

Friday 19th March 2010 at 7:30 pm. (Expected finish time 10:00 pm.)

Where

Two venues will be available:

• North - St Hilda's Anglican School for Girls
• South - Murdoch College

Format

The students will work together in groups of six to answer problem-solving questions. The students will be given a series of questions (as in a 'quiz night') to complete within a set time limit.

Registration

• Schools are invited to nominate a maximum of two (2) teams of six students consisting of two students from each of years 11 and 12. (If there are not enough Year 12 students available, then students from Year 11 may be substituted.)
• Initially, one team will be registered and if there are sufficient places available after the closing date, a second team will be registered on a "first-in, first-served" basis. Schools will be informed if their second team has a place.
• Please register early as places are limited.
• Fax registration form to MAWA office by Friday 26 February.
• Confirmation of team placement will be emailed to the school by Wednesday 3 March..
• If you have registered a second team you will be informed whether this team has a place by Wednesday 3 March..
